Making games for fun – anywhere anytime
JS Spiele is a one-person hobby endeavour started by Jan Straetener with the aim of helping all kinds of gamers, big or small, to engage in a joyful pastime together in all kinds of locations and situations. Whether it be friends, families, couples, colleagues, whether it be at home, during a lunch break, on holiday, on a trip in the outdoors, anywhere is a good place to enjoy a quick and friendly battle of wits with someone close to you.

My main focus for JS Spiele …
… is to design games for you that are portable and have a small footprint so you can take them with you wherever you go. I also aim for a manageable game length so that you can just throw in a quick round whenever you feel like it, without struggling to find the time.
That’s why I try to build my games around relatively simple and accessible rules that nonetheless offer ample space for emergent strategic depth. This ensures great replayability and many fun sessions as you keep exploring the intricacies and finding new strategic approaches to test out.
I hope you get to feel the love and passion I put into my games and that you get as much fun out of playing them as I do designing them.
